Over 25 Years in the Community
Richmond Muscle & Tendon clinic was founded in 1995 by Nikolay Yelizarov, a Russian doctor who immigrated to Canada with his family. Shortly after arriving to Canada, Nikolay opened his clinic where he worked diligently to help his patients until his passing in 2019.
Nikolay specialized in Electric-Intermuscular Stimulation (EIMS™), a unique acupuncture treatment that he perfected while working at his clinic. He used this treatment to help countless people recover from common sport, work, and accident injuries.
His treatment was fast, painless, and precise and regarded by his patients for its ability to deliver long-term pain relief where it was needed most. Nikolay documented his work with EIMS™ in his book “Treatment for Muscle Strain Injuries” and his UBC research study: “Retrospective statistical analysis of Non-Specific Low Back Pain (NSLBP)”.
More than 25 years later, the clinic now carries a reputation for its talented staff, effective treatments, and professional service, which was built by the tireless efforts of the clinic’s founder to help people recover from pain and get back to doing what they love.
